[ How To ]

The first step to commissioning me is to simply get in touch with me.

I can be contacted any day of the week either via e-mail or phone. I'm open to any kind of enquiries so please don't hesitate to drop me a message or a call. However, do take into account that I live in the GMT+8 region so please allow for differences in timezone but it's likely that I can still reply to e-mail enquiries even when it's late at night.

The type of commissions I can accept include but are not limited to:

Please provide as much information as possible regarding the job description and requirements, this will help me to provide you with a more detailed and accurate price quotation for the commission. For tips on how to write a detailed job description you can refer to this guide I made.

[ Cost & Timeframe ]

Upon receiving the job description from you I will give you a quotation detailing the estimated cost and timeframe for the commission.

The time and cost estimate may change as more information is made available for me and later finalised when an agreement has been reached. As a very rough guide, the cost and time required in any job is calculated by the amount of work I need to put into it. So a highly detailed job will cost more and require a considerable amount of time to complete while a job that can be finished in a matter of a few hours usually don't require a lot of detail and will not cost much. A common rule to consider is the Quality-vs-Speed-vs-Cost choice; most of the time you can only pick 2 out 3. You may want to consider them first and let me know which you need most. As a matter of principle I will always try to provide the best quality with fast speed at competitive prices.

[ Terms ]

Work terms usually vary from commission to commission and is discussed thoroughly before reaching an agreement. Things like the NDA and ownership rights are also discussed.

[ Payment ]

Payment can be made via PayPal or Guru.com's SafePay Escrow. For large projects involving large sums of money I recommend using Guru.com's SafePay Escrow service for extra safety and peace of mind in making transactions. More info regarding SafePay Escrow can be found in Guru.com's help section.

In most cases, I will require a partial deposit before I start working on a commission. This deposit is non-refundable once the first drafts/concept sketches for the job have been completed. The rest of the payment can be made when certain milestones are reached or when the job is completed. In certain cases, e.g. for small jobs or when working with a returning/trusted client, the initial deposit can be made after the work draft is completed or no deposit will be required at all. More info on the work process and when payment(s) can be made can be found in this link.

[ Disclaimer ]

After an agreement has been made and work has begun I will do my best to complete the job according to specifications. However, should any dispute regarding the artwork or payment arise I will try to work with the client to settle them in a civil and amicable manner. Regardless of what happens, I guarantee that no hostility would arise from my part during a dispute. I believe that nothing can be gained if we lose our cool and argue with tempers flaring. If we are using Guru.com's SafePay Escrow to conduct the transaction(s) we can also make use of Guru.com's Mediation and Arbitration services.
